Archetypes as we experience them can be seen as the energy within our psyches, interactions between the subconscious and the ego. They are, in part, distilled cosmic forces, designed for experiencing life in any way you choose. You covet, defend or dispel your allegiance with archetypes, whether you are aware of it or not. Every person carries and works with archetypes. To move beyond blindly doing so, into conscious understanding, is the journey to enlightenment, sovereignty and beyond.
Goddess archetypes are available to work with, not by emulating, but through understanding the energies as micro levels, and synthesizing your own changes-this is alchemy. This is not about gathering with other women (though this gathering itself is a form of archetypal expression); it is not about wearing particular clothing and loving or empowering yourself (again, these are forms of expression). At the core, working with goddess archetypes, or energies, is actually gender neutral. The reality is far deeper and potent than most imagine, even as this reality appears on the surface, to be less glamorous and exciting than emulating an image of a goddess created by a society long ago.
Sure, women usually have a fast pass to access these energies, since female form is wired to absorb these frequencies and to understand the history behind them. And much of it is history. Time is a powerful force; the human body carries evolutionary wiring, cellular memory and psycho spiritual knowledge of past generations. This often latent information is inherent within the human body. It is available for you to access, only from within. The experience is always and only individual, unique to each person. This is alchemy, the process of discovering the self through transformation of self. Creation in action is alchemy, is the body, mind and spirit. In this way, new-age gatherings, self- help groups and a never ending stream of external books, techniques or workshops, can actually prove detrimental to your success in activating latent potential.
Of course, camaraderie, community and support are also essential ingredients at times. This phrase is key: At times. Not always. And, like the act of birth, you can only activate latent potential alone. Both the timing as well as how you do it, will be as unique as you are. No two journeys are ever the same. Continually engaging in 'group think' [even the best of settings and the wisest of teachers will have some of this, since the collective field of any gathering will influence individual experiences], at the expense of going within to do your own work, will eventually stunt you emotionally, spiritually and cognitively.
We humans may be social beings, and this, in large part, is the result of biological survival wiring. It is also an enjoyment of life: Sharing, experiencing. Life is sweeter together. As the zen saying goes: If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around, does it make a sound? Do you exist within someone's context only? Or are you here regardless? At the same time, the 'middle path' regards detached neutrality as a highly effective means to maturing spiritually and activating latent human potential. This latent potential includes longevity and reverse aging.
It has been said that, working with pure cosmic force itself is very difficult for humans, and that working with intermediary aspects or form manifestations of these forces, is a more balanced, attainable approach. Usually these intermediary forms look human, or partially human, or relate somehow to what humans experience on a daily basis, giving us context and fertile ground with which we can then transform ourselves. It is in this way that we both accept the dichotomy of what it is to be human, with ego and persona, and attempt to transcend it as the same time. This modern, western world is heavily persona and ego oriented; the cult of personality is worshiped in all areas of life. Role models, spiritual teachers, advisers, gurus, thought leaders, award winners, etc, the list goes on.... It can be quite difficult in these times to free ourselves of success via recognition, whether financial, material or through the perceived influence we 'achieve' (ie, 'have') on others.
Yet, it is possible to simply work with forces themselves. Consider the Vedic Science use of Yantras and Buddhist use of Mandalas, western alchemical traditions and Taoist energy practices as further examples that we need not emulate or venerate a person or human, or anything at all, in order to connect with these forces. These are compelling, powerful forces we talk about. There is a reason that they have been organized and systematized by cultures, spiritual traditions and religions. Manageability is one reason, since access too quickly or intensely can be overwhelming and provide adverse results. Control, suppression and oppression is another. If you control the information, the access to these forces, you control humans and perhaps spiritual realms themselves, while also controlling your own access to these energies.
If you choose to continue investing in the cult of personality, worshiping images of entities, you may find benefit, enjoyment and a feeling of safety. To step off of this track, into uncharted waters, requires courage, stamina and a desire to relinquish worship of the external (while simultaneously not dissenting from these forms. This is not a team choice, not atheist, polytheistic, monotheism or agnostic, etc.). It is an awareness of these constructs and a choice to experience unconditioned reality, one that does not invest subconscious or psychic energy into discounting other forms as validation of one's own philosophical space or consciousness. This is not about moral dictates such as 'do not judge'; it is a means to free oneself from reverberations that trap oneself in cycles. This is the true meaning of karma and thou shalt not judge.
The rewards of such courage are many, including understanding of the sovereign internal, its connection with the external, and a living, breathing, embodied power that is infused into your life through your very being. You become the charged vehicle that is the inherent potential of the human being, latent in most but available to all. Alchemy with nature's intelligence is both the journey and the result. You are innate intelligence, and you connect with nature's intelligence. And this is an expression of Goddess alchemy: Discernment, dignity and compassion in action. Unbound by the trappings of others, yet free of the mind's assumptions. Creativity in action is a pure, unadulterated force that respects the sacred sovereignty of life itself. Food for thought....
